THE TRAIN was born quite a few years ago, as a real time improvised jam, when about 2 minutes (!) before going up on stage, the artist I was performing with at the time asked to kick off the show with an instrumental piece...
So who am I?
Nice to meet you, my name is Itsik Friedman (52) and I've had a guitar in my hand ever since I was about 10. In the last 30 years, music has been my career as a session and gigging guitar player, record producer and mixtering engineer.
Because of the Corona pandemic, I suddenly found myself with lots of spare time (unfortunately). So I decided to use it to collect the dozens of ideas I had laying around and combine them into an idea I had in my head for a long time. An instrumental album designed to share with the listener my musical world with the wealth of influences styles that helped to shape it.
THE TRAIN - a delightful southern rock-blues, is the first single from that album. I've decided to invite a very good friend of mine, and one of the most amazing Harmonica players I know as a special guest - Mr. OREN SHRAIBER
I hope you'll enjoy listening to THE TRAIN as much as I've enjoyed making it.
